CarlowPay Rate: € 30,000.00 per annumAdditional: Competitive Premium Rates for weekend and night shifts, Overtime Premium PaymentsContract: PermanentWorking hours: Full- Time, 39 Hours per weekGreat benefits on offer:General Work Permit Sponsorship;Free Meals on site;Paid training & Education;Free parking;Summer & Christmas Parties;Access to Pension Scheme;Employee Assistance Program;Long service, Employee recognition and appreciation awards.Role Responsibilities:Lead, train and mentor new Healthcare Assistants;Work closely with nurse managers and staff nurses to maintain the highest standards of care;Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents;Safe manual handling and transfer of residents within nursing home;Delivery of food to and feeding of residents;Return of used trays and dishes top kitchen, leaving residents and their rooms neat and tidy;Bed making and linen changes;Provide incontinence and toilet care to residents, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags;Assisting trained nurses with provision of psychological and social support as needed;Continuous vigilance towards dignity, comfort, safety and whereabouts of residents;Continuous adherence to hygiene, health and safety regulations;Any other duties as required.Role Requirements:Relevant Healthcare Degree or Qualification: Nursing, Allied Health, Medical.ORMentoring, Training, Supervisory experience in healthcare setting;QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare;Minimum 2 Years Care Experience;Track record as high performing healthcare assistant;Excellent communication and personal care skills;Knowledge of Healthcare Standards; HIQA, Infection Prevention etc.
