Full and Part time hours availableWe are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Paediatric A&E Nurses to join our healthcare team. Agency Paediatric Nurses provide high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with urgent or emergency health needs. - Deliver patient-centred care in line with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) standards.
- Triage and assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department using Manchester Triage or equivalent systems.
- Provide emergency nursing interventions including wound care, resuscitation support, IV therapy, and pain management.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and document clinical records accurately.
- Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
- Respond to clinical emergencies and support critical care transfers.
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and privacy standards are upheld.
- Administer medications safely and according to protocols and guidelines.
- Adapt quickly to new environments and follow local hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in clinical audits and mandatory training as required.
- Registered Paediatric Nurse with active registration with An Bord Altranais /Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Must have eligibility to work in Ireland (EU/EEA passport or appropriate work visa).
- Triage training and certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Mandatory training including but not exclusive to Current Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification(desirable), Safety Intervention training(formerly MAPA can be supplied by Direct Medics)
- Garda Vetting (cost covered by Direct Medics)
- Minimum 12 months post-registration experience in an Paediatric A&E, ED, or Urgent Care setting.
- Experience in high-acuity environments and familiarity with Irish or UK healthcare systems (HSE/NHS or private).

- Postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Emergency Nursing
- Paediatric Emergency Experience (for mixed A&E departments)
- Familiarity with HIQA standards
