Our client, a leading provider of specialist equipment rental solutions across Ireland, is seeking a Finance Director to join their team on a 6-month contract. The company has a strong nationwide presence and operates in a fast-paced, service-led environment, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and operational excellence.This is an exciting time to join the business, and in this role, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function. You will lead a team of six experienced finance professionals and oversee financial operations, including the monitoring of weekly and monthly revenue performance against budget and forecast.The role is based in Laois and offers an excellent hybrid working model, a supportive team environment, and a competitive salary.Key Responsibilities:

Managing the daily financial activities and providing leadership to a team of finance staff
Tracking weekly and monthly revenue performance against budget and forecast targets
Leading the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Developing and updating financial models to support scenario analysis, investment planning, and profitability assessment
Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including audit requirements
Engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business to encourage alignment and support for improvements and change initiatives

Key Requirements:

Fully Qualified Accountant with 5+ years of experience in a senior finance position
Proven leadership abilities, with an emphasis on building a supportive, collaborative, and results-driven team culture
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Word, and Outlook)
