- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized, person-centred care plans within an agreed framework, in line with best practice, regulatory standards, and current evidence-based nursing research.
- Provide holistic, person-centred care that promotes independence and enhances residents’ quality of life.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families/guardians.
- Collaborate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care and outcomes for residents.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and appropriate documentation and reports relating to resident care.
- Promote a culture of quality care using an evidence-based approach within a safe environment, while upholding the dignity and respect of each resident.
- Support a model of care that enables and empowers residents, respecting their autonomy, rights, and informed consent.
- Act as an advocate for residents and their families, providing guidance and information to support decision-making, goal setting, and problem-solving, and encouraging participation in community-based activities
- Essential Nursing Qualifications
- Licensed by the Irish Nursing and Midwifery Board (Essential)
- At least three years of experience as a nursing home staff nurse is preferred.
- Candidates must provide proof of ongoing professional growth.
- Candidates must have the necessary administrative expertise, leadership skills, and aptitude to carry out the responsibilities of the position.
