Biotech Utility Project Engineer - Dun Laoghaire, DublinOffice/Project Location: Dun Laoghaire, DublinEmployment Type: ContractWork Location: Hybrid - 3 days a week on sitePay: €50 - €60 per hourExperience: 6+ yearsVisa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa requiredOur client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin.The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment.This is an excellent opportunity to get experience into Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant.The Utility Project Engineer reports to the Senior Manager for Strategic Engineering Projects and is responsible for scoping and executing technical projects in utility areas supporting all areas of the facility.Specific advantage in having relevant experience in the following systems:Controlled temperature Units including walk in coldroomsGMP HVACOther relevant utility system experience includes:Clean Utilities (WFI, Clean Steam, Purified Water, Process Air, Nitrogen)Other Utilities (Glycol, Non GMP HVAC, Instrument Air, Water Systems [e.g. Service, chilled, potable, LPHW], Process Waste)Controlled temperature Units including fridges, and freezers.Associated qualified and non-qualified control systemsThis includes commissioning and qualification of new equipment and upgrades.Project management and execution of assigned projects including project prioritization, resources management, status management and external communication.Working with various stakeholders, to scope projects and ensure requirements are satisfied.Project input will span from concept, through design, construction, commissioning and operationCoordinating the introduction of new processes, equipment and materials including problem solving and troubleshooting equipment issues prior to qualification & start-upSupporting the development and implementation of maintenance programs and spare parts inventory optimization within scope of project delivery.Development and management of change controlsParticipate as a member of multidisciplinary site and multisite teamsDevelopment of detailed specifications, engineering documents, protocols and standard operating proceduresWork in a collaborative manner within the Teams structure and contributes to Root Cause Investigations and Cross Functional Investigations.Work in a collaborative manner with the System Owners, Maintenance Supervisors & Technicians, Capital Project Engineers and Vendors to perform equipment upgrade and/or retrofits.Perform all tasks with due care and attention ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and company requirements, policies and proceduresSupport a safe working environment by complying with environmental health/safety practice, rules and regulationsTravel may be required to support execution of projectsRequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Relevant ExperienceTypically, 3+ years engineering experience, preferably within a GMP manufacturing environment.Proven project management experience.Strong mechanical capability with hands on experience in a technical role within similar areas.Demonstrated experience in a GDP Compliant environment.Experience in MS Office, MS Project, Change Control & Document Management SystemsProven ability working cross functionally, delivering technical solutions and implementing improvements.Solid leadership skillset and experience working in a team environment, embracing an interdependent working culture that delivers resultsTechnical report writing and communication/presentation skillsData driven decision makerAbility to work to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environmentPackageContract role - Hourly rate €55 - €65 per hourMinimum 12 month contract with the possibility of an extension.Onsite expectations: Requirement to be on site is greater than 50%.The onsite requirements can range from 3 to 4 days per week.Important to note that sometimes projects work, very infrequently, it can occur the need to work unsociable hours.This can occur twice a year.This isn’t shift work; this is part of the project environment.ContactKaren McHugh is the consultant managing this position.If you are a Biotech Utility Project Engineer interested in roles based in Dublin , you can contact Karen by e-mail at karen@jobcontax.com Karen or phone 353 1 7979720 for a confidential chat.JobContax do not send CVs to clients without candidate permission.With over 50 years of technical recruitment experience, JobContax is the leading recruiter of Biotech Utility Project Engineer in Dublin and Ireland.Due to the large volume of applications, JobContax may not be able to respond to every individual.taglife
