Hartley People Recruitment in partnership with our client are hiring for a Field Service Engineer in Kilkenny.Our client are building a dedicated team of Field Service Engineers to support our client’s growing customer base. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys problem-solving, travel, and working closely with clients.Key Responsibilities:

Carry out the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and modification of complex machinery at customer sites in line with established standards.
Troubleshoot technical issues and communicate effectively with the support team to implement timely, practical solutions.
Provide on-site training and guidance to operators, offering technical support during both production and shutdown periods.
Build strong relationships with customers by proactively addressing recurring issues and ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Work closely with the sales team to identify new opportunities and represent the client at trade shows and industry events.

What You Bring:

A recognised qualification in mechatronics, industrial mechanics, electronics, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
Proven experience as a service engineer, ideally with complex, high-spec machinery.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Flexibility to travel both internationally and within Ireland (approx. 40-50% each).
A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently under pressure.
Willingness to complete an initial training period in Germany (approximately 3-6 months depending on experience)
