In addition to providing general assistance to the CE supervisor as outlined below, the successful candidate will be centrally involved in the supervision of CE staff based at the Community Centre including the assignment of work and ensuring the completion of these assignments & maintaining a time-keeping record system for participants. Administration. To assist with the provision of an efficient and effective financial accounting system in line with sound accounting procedures and conventions which includes financial returns, cheque payments, petty cash & income at reception. To assist with the Management of creditors and general ledgers, manage and operate CE participants payroll, manage bank account, PRSI & Tax returns & the payment of participants allowances. Liaison with the local DEASP office when required. Assisting with the preparing of monthly reports as required for meetings with the sponsors committee. Training & Development. To assist in carrying out the identification of learner needs with each participant on the CE project as part of the Individual Learning Plan process and to assist in the preparation of Individual Learning Plan for submission to DEASP within the agreed time frame & sourcing & implementing cost effective training solutions & maintaining training records. Human Resources. To communicate effectively with the CE Staff based at the community centre by using team meetings and individual forms of formal and informal 'one- to-one ' meetings. To assist in dealing with disciplinary matters where required in conjunction with the CE Supervisor & the sponsor. To provide effective supervisor for all CE staff in the absence of the CE Supervisor as directed by the sponsor. Community Employment. To assist in ensuring that the work areas meet appropriate housekeeping standards and provide a safe and healthy environment for participants & customers. To supervise, schedule, motivate and support participants to ensure best returns to the sponsor. Training, Experience and Qualifications. Leaving Certificate or equivalent is essential. A major award in Business, Training, HR or project management at NFQ Level 6 is desirable. Minimum of 1year work experience is essential. Knowledge & Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes, with a high level of keyboard and computerised skills. A full driving licence is desirable but not essential. People management skills Behaviours. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills, articulate and assertive. Competent writing skills.
