- The generation, review, and coordination of electrical engineering design documentation across all project phases.
- Develop and issue electrical design deliverables in accordance with project scope, schedule, and applicable standards.
- Prepare, review, and maintain electrical engineering documentation and calculations including:
- Single-line diagrams
- Load lists and power demand calculations
- Cable schedules and cable sizing calculations
- Electrical layouts and containment routing
- Earthing and bonding designs
- Equipment specifications and datasheets
- Support preparation of technical specifications, requisitions, and bid evaluations for electrical equipment and installation works.
- Review vendor documentation and drawings for compliance with design intent and project standards.
- Ensure all electrical designs comply with GMP requirements, relevant IEC / IEEE / ETCI standards, and site-specific design practices.
- Support design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
- Provide technical input during construction and commissioning phases, including responses to RFIs and resolution of design queries.
- Generation of commissioning documentation and test procedures.
- Support quality documentation, traceability, and document control processes in line with regulated project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements during all engineering activities.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an electrical engineering role within industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems including:
- Low voltage power distribution
- MCCs and electrical panels
- Lighting and small power systems
- Earthing and bonding
- Cable routing, containment, and termination
- Familiarity with GMP requirements and working in regulated manufacturing facilities.
- Understanding of ATEX / hazardous area principles is desirable.
- Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities on live sites.
- Proficient in a Windows-based environment and engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, Word, Excel).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface effectively with contractors, vendors, and project teams.
