Job Type: Full time permanentAs a Buyer, you'll ensure the consistent supply of essential raw materials for production operations. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and maintaining quality standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase assigned raw materials from approved suppliers following purchasing policies and procedures to ensure consistent production support.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials to meet production demands while ensuring effective inventory management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supply issues and concerns.
- Keep supplier and material master data up to date to ensure the integrity of purchasing and planning processes.
- Work with suppliers to forecast supply plans, negotiate pricing terms, and manage delivery schedules.
- Manage supplier relationships, support supplier development, and monitor supplier performance.
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on various criteria such as price, quality, and reliability.
- Provide insights on industry trends and supply situations that may impact the business.
- Manage change controls, deviations, and CAPA's to meet quality management system requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines for timely procurement.
- Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and quality system requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed to support projects and meet customer expectations.

- Strong negotiation skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles, including MRP and inventory planning/control.
- Bachelor's degree in business, procurement, supply chain management, or related discipline (QQI Level 8)
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing/supply chain experience, preferably in pharma or medical device industry
- Experience in highly regulated environments and quality management systems.
- Vendor management experience
- APICS/CPIM certification or equivalent preferred
- Experience in change management and working with ERP systems.
