Buyer

• Purchase assigned raw materials from approved suppliers following purchasing policies and procedures to ensure consistent production support.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials to meet production demands while ensuring effective inventory management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve supply issues and concerns.
• Keep supplier and material master data up to date to ensure the integrity of purchasing and planning processes.
• Work with suppliers to forecast supply plans, negotiate pricing terms, and manage delivery schedules.
• Manage supplier relationships, support supplier development, and monitor supplier performance.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on various criteria such as price, quality, and reliability.
• Provide insights on industry trends and supply situations that may impact the business.
• Manage change controls, deviations, and CAPA's to meet quality management system requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project needs and timelines for timely procurement.
• Demonstrate commitment to teamwork and quality system requirements.
• Perform other duties as needed to support projects and meet customer expectations.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles, including MRP and inventory planning/control.

• Bachelor's degree in business, procurement, supply chain management, or related discipline (QQI Level 8)
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing/supply chain experience, preferably in pharma or medical device industry
• Experience in highly regulated environments and quality management systems.
• Vendor management experience
• APICS/CPIM certification or equivalent preferred
• Experience in change management and working with ERP systems.
