
Quality Inspector - 23 month FTC

- You will provide day to day inspection expertise in the areas of Component and Mechatronic Inspection of incoming material supporting manufacturing. You will complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and lot inspection activities
- Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test, dispositioning defective products for rework, and confirming re-work. Determine acceptance, or rejection of materials presented for inspection. Document inspection results by completing quality inspection reports and logs, and correctly and carefully inputting data into the quality database.
- Alerting and assisting the Supplier Quality Engineering department with failure and nonconforming material data recording and reporting. Be a team member of the quality department and support Production, Engineering and other internal departments when requested to check specifications and tolerances.
- Assess Supplier capability to meet quality requirements to ensure supplier processes are an effective fit with Siemens requirements. Support technology transfer initiatives and new product introduction projects. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with quality regulations.
- You will possess relevant experience in Quality Control for medical devices or equivalent coupled with a minimum of 2 years exposure in a similar manufacturing environment.
- A minimum of a qualification in an appropriate discipline (Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering) OR appropriate and commensurate experience.
- Experience in being part of teams and projects with strong communications written and verbal. Ability to work in technically complex multi discipline areas in supply chain.
- Experience with Inspection Methodologies such as; PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-A-610), Fabricated/Machined Metal Mechanical/Visual inspection, Precision linear measurement, non-contact measurement, Moulded and Machined plastics inspection and measurement - Advanced
- Self Starter with the ability and desire to learn
- Passionate and enthusiastic individual with excellent problem solving skills
- Understanding of Geometrical Tolerancing (e.g. true position, perpendicularity, concentricity, angularity, roundness etc.) - Advanced
- Ability to complete Inspections to Drawing; Commercial off the shelf components, inspect against vendors item or model number. Advanced
