Contract: Full-Time, PermanentThe RoleOn behalf of our client, a leading facilities management and water treatment services provider, we are recruiting a Water Treatment Engineer to support national client accounts across Ireland.This is a client-facing, technically focused role combining hands-on water treatment services with reporting, compliance support, and technical advisory responsibilities across multiple sites. The successful candidate will work closely with facilities management teams and end clients to ensure water systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full regulatory compliance.We’re looking for a hands-on Industrial Water Engineer with strong chemical dosing experience to manage and optimise industrial water systems across cooling towers, boilers, and closed-loop systems. This is a senior, client-facing role – a degree alone isn’t enough; practical industrial experience is essential.What You’ll DoConduct on-site water testing and analyse results (pH, hardness, chlorides, iron, phosphate, etc.)Manage chemical dosing programs for scale, corrosion, and microbiological controlOversee cooling towers, boilers, and closed-loop systemsPerform risk assessments (including Legionella) and provide clear, actionable recommendationsSupport system installation, servicing, and maintenanceDeliver client training and technical guidanceContribute to sales support and business developmentWhat We’re Looking For3–7+ years’ hands-on industrial water treatment experience – chemical dosing expertise is essentialDegree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Mechanical, or Industrial EngineeringStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills – able to explain complex chemistry simplyClient-focused, organised, and able to work independentlyDesirable:
- Experience working within a Facilities Management or multi-site contract environment
- Exposure to industrial, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments
