Are you a Senior Engineer with 10+ years experience working with main contractors on construction projects in excess of €10M+?Are you interested in joining a leading Irish Building contractor with projects throughout Leinster?Choice of office locations Dublin, Galway or Roscommon, Hybrid working options for the right candidateIf you are interested in this role, contact Sheila on 353-1-7978720 or send your CV to sheila@jobcontax.comSenior Engineer - Pre Construction - Building Contractor - IrelandJob DescriptionOur client is a leading Irish Building contractor working on Commercial & Fit-Out, Civic, Education, Conservation & Restoration, Healthcare, Pharma & Industrial, Tourism & Leisure, Residential projects.You will be reporting to a Pre Construction Manager and joining a leading Irish building main contractor committed to the highest standards of safety, quality & sustainability with an earned reputation for delivering outstanding quality projects.You will have the opportunity to work in a leading role, responsible for managing and writing exceptional tender winning submissions for large scale construction projects and assisting in compiling Pre-Qualification Questionnaires.You will work as part of the tender bid team in conjunction with the Estimating and Project Coordination Departs to review project tender requirements, scope, develop a fully considered plan and present well-coordinated constructionmethodology proposals, all the time marketing the company brand.Work with the bid team to compile PQQ’s and manage tender construction methodology submissions workload.Accompany the tendering team on site visits to appraise new projects as part of the tender bid process.Review, evaluate, and understand all information and documentation as included within tender packs.Assist in tracking all tender queries, responses, and addendums with the bid team.Collaborate with Construction Planners to prepare very detailed tender programmes following thorough review of all tender documentation, highlighting any constraints and risks to completion timelines.Seek input from other staff, subcontractors, and specialist consultants as part of the tender research process.Gather information and write accurate, well formatted, and well-presented content for all tender submissions.Engage fully with the estimating team to identify specific project risks, resolve proposed methodologies, agree resourcing requirements.Develop logistics plans and overall construction methodologies.Assess and develop opportunities for value engineering alternatives.Create 3D & 4D computer generated imagery in collaboration with BIM department.Effectively present, with confidence, construction proposals with bid team in a tender interview forum.Transfer knowledge with the tendering team to the construction operations team upon successful contract award.Create and maintain a database of tender proposal information for future utilisation and ongoing improvement.Continually review & improve the company tender bid and pre-construction procedures.Provide content for company social media portals as required.Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within your sphere of knowledge, experience, or competency.RequirementsDegree level qualification in Engineering or Construction related discipline.10years main contractor background with relevant onsite Irish project experience.Clear and concise communicator with an aptitude for problem solving and thinking outside the box.Talented in the presentation of technical content and proficient in the use of copywriting presentation software.Able to work accurately and efficiently while managing owns time to meet critical deadlines.Hold a valid driving licence.PackageCompetitive Salary Package based on experience and qualificationsChoice of office locations Dublin, Galway or Roscommon, Hybrid working options for the right candidateContactSheila McNeice is the consultant managing this position.If you are a Senior Engineer interested in roles based in Dublin, you can contact Sheila by e-mail at sheila@jobcontax.com or phone +353-1-7978720 for a confidential chat.JobContax do not send CVs to clients without candidate permission.With over 50 years of technical recruitment experience, JobContax is the leading recruiter of Senior Engineers in Dublin and Ireland.Due to the large volume of applications, JobContax may not be able to respond directly to every individualTAGCON
