Job Title: Environmental Compliance Specialist Location: LimerickPosition Overview:An opportunity exists for a qualified Environmental Compliance Specialist to support the implementation and oversight of site-wide environmental programs. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) Licence, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Permit, and broader environmental obligations in a regulated manufacturing setting.Key Responsibilities:
- Support execution of site requirements under the IED Licence and GHG Permit, including sampling and environmental monitoring.
- Act as a subject matter resource across departments, advising on regulatory compliance and best environmental practices.
- Oversee and assist with programs related to air emissions, wastewater, groundwater protection, surface water, waste, and environmental noise.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of environmental policies and programs.
- Participate in or lead EHS initiatives aimed at streamlining compliance processes and improving environmental performance.
- Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports to meet local and internal requirements.
- Deliver training sessions on relevant environmental and regulatory topics.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure consistent adherence to environmental standards.
- Contribute to regulatory inspection readiness and represent the site as needed during inspections.
- Help drive a positive culture of environmental responsibility.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated manufacturing industry.
- Prior involvement with an IED Licence or environmental compliance programs is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and familiarity with GMP-compliant environments.
