- Oversee daily business operations, drive strategic initiatives and ensure overall business success
- Develop and implement business strategies to support growth and business excellence
- Lead the operations, engineering/quality, procurement and administration functions
- Manage the operations department to highest standards to satisfy customer expectation and on-time delivery
- Ensure optimum performance of HR, hiring and training processes
- Build relationships with key customers in diverse markets
- Set objectives and improve systems and procedures
- In association with finance, manage budgets and assist in design of improvements to optimise financial performance and operational effectiveness and efficiency
- Work in close collaboration with the sales/account management functions and the customer to delivery total customer satisfaction
- Build, develop and lead a management team and staff capable of carrying out organisational objectives to the highest standards
- Assume responsibility for health and safety standards throughout the organisation
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new business
- Develop, promote and implement on-going continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience at a management level within manufacturing and engineering
- In-depth knowledge of machining and fabrication or related production processes desirable
- Relevant third level qualification desirable
- Excellent leadership skills including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship
- Performance focused with strong budgeting and reporting capabilities
