Our client is a successful flue system design, manufacture and installation business operating domestically and internationally. Due to the continued growth of its Data Centre business it wishes to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to head up and manage its design team.Working closely with the manufacturing and installation teams the successful candidate will help tender, design and install flue systems in a range of industrial and commercial projects throughout Ireland and on the continent.The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of steelwork fabrication, be comfortable with a range of design tools and packages such as CAD and Revit and have experience of working both on site and as a member of multi-disciplinary teams.Successful candidates are likely to have the following attributes, skills and experience,
  • Relevant third level mechanical /engineering qualification, together with appropriate CPD.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ post qualification experience.
  • Management experience with small teams and in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Detailed Knowledge and experience of a contracting environment.
  • Ability and experience of working both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
  • Experience and skills in AutoCAD 2D and 3D packages (Revit, Navisworks).
  • Comfort and familiarity with a range of different IT packages.
  • Organisational and planning capabilities to ensure that programme targets and timetables are met.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary design and site installation teams.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with highest Health and Safety standards and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
