With excellent knowledge in domestic and commercial property insurance, you will engage effectively with customers and third parties, providing clear communication and promptly addressing enquiries.Senior Property Loss Adjuster role will involve undertaking claims assessments in the field, making associated recommendations in line with customer propositions, product policies, risk appetite, business strategy and performance targets.You will spend the majority of your time assessing scene of loss/events, gathering relevant information, documenting findings and advising customers.You will be field based working in various locations and dealing with customers on a one to one basis. You will have strong analytical, communication and organisation skills..Key Responsibilities:
  • As a Senior Property Loss Adjuster, you will oversee both household and commercial claims from initiation to resolution, ensuring a customer-focused experience throughout the process. With excellent knowledge in domestic and commercial property insurance, you will engage effectively with customers and third parties, providing clear communication and promptly addressing enquiries.
  • Utilizing your negotiation skills, you will aim for optimal outcomes in claims settlements, while providing excellent customer service and fostering relationships with clients.
  • Preparing and delivering case decisions and solutions to the customer, in line with agreed processes at designated level authority, to meet business objectives and the customer proposition.
  • This role requires excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. Additionally, you will participate in surge event management to provide vital support during critical times.
  • Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner, escalating to more senior and/or qualified colleagues as necessary in order to deliver high standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to less experienced colleagues to develop knowledge and understanding of customers, customers’ businesses and associated commercial drivers and risks.
Requirements:
  • CIP qualified (required)
  • Dip LA / ACILA / ACII (required)
  • +10 years Loss Adjusting experience (required)
  • Experience of dealing with brokers and a wide variety of customers
  • Experience of dealing with commercial insurance claims, including business interruption
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • This role is Field Based
  • A full Driving License is required
Regulatory Requirements:
  • Subject to Fitness & Probity Standards issued under Section 50 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and any subsequent amendments. The role holder must ensure they are fully aware of the Standards and be in a position to fully comply with them at all time.
  • This role falls within the scope of the Minimum Competency Code (MCC) therefore the role requires the jobholder to have attained the status of ‘Qualified Person’ in the relevant functions. . The jobholder must also comply with all CPD requirements as outlined in the MCC.
