This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join one of Ireland's leading contractors with large-scale project in Cork.Position: Project ManagerLocation: CorkSalary: €80-100k DOE plus bonus, pension, and company carThe main responsibilities include:
  • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Take full responsibility for all on-site and off-site project activities, managing the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project milestones.
  • Develop and implement detailed project programmes, resource plans, risk registers, and cost control measures in collaboration with senior leadership and the commercial team.
  • Oversee all aspects of project governance including compliance with contractual obligations, building regulations, BCAR, and health & safety requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, design teams, consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Chair senior-level project meetings, including progress reviews, design workshops, and commercial meetings, ensuring timely decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Proactively manage project risks, identifying and mitigating issues early to avoid delays and budget overruns.
  • Mentor and guide junior project team members, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained to the highest standard and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the final commissioning and handover process, ensuring full compliance and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Third-level qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager role, delivering complex construction projects in Ireland.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, procurement, and project financials.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
  • A strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and a results-driven approach.
