Are you a M&E Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?Rockwell is currently in a phase of significant growth in Ireland and because of this, we are currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has had exposure to both electrical and mechanical disciplines to be working on projects in the Midlands region.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for the full management, budget, estimating through construction to final accounts of Electrical projects of various sizes.
  • Make sure that all contractual requirements are met and offer guidance and oversight to the construction team in relation to this.
  • Capability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management.
  • Review and update monthly progress reports to accurately reflect remeasurements, site variations, additional work, and any claims.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account.
  • Managing and forecasting of turnover and cash flow of the projects
  • Evaluating and overseeing the commercial aspects of all projects to ensure accurate and trustworthy reporting.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies affecting Electrical and Mechanical systems.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying,
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor within the construction industry, with exposure to mechanical or electrical projects
  • Have strong commercial awareness
  • Previous experience working with an M&E Contractor is favourable.
  • Be comfortable in your use of Microsoft Office, with the ability to generate detailed monthly reports.
  • Have a positive attitude with a passion to learn & succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountability
