Location: Dublin City – Office based in South East Dublin

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with a large, diversified private developer, are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team. This developer operates well beyond housing-only delivery and is actively involved across industrial, commercial and residential projects.The role is based from a modern office in the South East of Dublin, with live projects primarily located around the Tallaght area and along the M50 corridor. The position offers a strong mix of office-based commercial responsibilities and regular site exposure, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a well-capitalised, long-term developer environment.The client places a strong emphasis on internal progression, mentorship and career development, with a clear pathway for growth as the business continues to expand its project portfolio.Responsibilities

Assisting with commercial management across live construction projects
Preparing interim valuations, cost reports and financial tracking
Supporting subcontract procurement, tender comparisons and appointments
Assisting with variations, change control and cost forecasting
Working closely with site teams and senior commercial staff
Attending site meetings and carrying out regular site visits
Maintaining accurate cost records and supporting final accounts

Requirements

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
2+ years’ experience working on Irish construction projects is ideally required
Experience across residential, commercial or industrial project environments
Strong numerical ability with good commercial awareness
Clear communication skills with both site and office-based teams
Competent using Microsoft Excel and cost reporting systems
Motivated to progress within a developer-led organisation
