Production Designer - Solidworks

• Develop approved Architectural Design for production, manufacturing and assembly
• of systems.
• Provide and review design solutions & material order specifications & quantities tailored to production / outsourcing capabilities.
• Participate and contribute to the mobilisation of projects and support the Design Manager or Design Lead, attending meetings as required.
• Place material orders in a complete and timely manner.
• Manage the ordering of materials with the Design Manager/ Design Lead to ensure that all components are included.
• Prepare documentation as required for the factory to enable production to be progressed.
• Create material schedules as may be required to monitor the progress of works.
• Communicate difficulties experienced in the production design process that will affect the programme of works with the Design Manager or Design Lead.
• Assist and train graduates and interns in our methodologies & systems.

• Demonstrated experience in a similar or comparable role / industry
• Full proficiency in SolidWorks & AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Schueco, Shucal and CAM systems would be advantageous
• Experience of LogiKal would be advantageous
• Ability to work well in a busy, fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and inter-departmental teams
• Excellent ability to communicate openly and effectively at all levels (verbal and written)
