
Environmental Compliance Specialist (12M, Limerick)

- Be part of a team that will implement the requirements/conditions set out in the site’s IED (Industrial Emissions) License, Greenhouse Gas Permit and other Environmental Programs.
- Provide technical assistance for the site's environmental programs, including air emissions, wastewater discharges, soil and groundwater management, surface water management, waste management, and environmental noise control.
- Ensure that the company adheres to both local and Corporate environmental standards.
- Act as the point of contact for environmental compliance and site performance.
- Help create a positive culture for environmental performance.
- Facilitate the implementation of various environmental programs across the site.
- Assist in implementing the conditions set out in the site’s new IED License and Greenhouse Gas Permit and as part of that support the site’s environmental sampling and monitoring requirements.
- Be a resource to all areas in helping them understand the regulatory requirements of their areas and programs. Work with them in implementing solutions that comply with these regulations and programs.
- Participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) improvement projects for optimization, simplification and streamline of EHS processes related to Environmental Programs.
- Stay up to date on new environmental regulations that could impact the company’s operations.
- Assist in achieving environmental objectives and goals.
- Confident in compiling environmental reports for both regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Participate in the revision and update of the written programs.
- Deliver instructor lead training for environmental courses.
- Inspect the various env programs periodically as they develop and mature and ensure they remain compliant with requirements.
- Be part of a team to participate in regulatory inspections as applicable.
- BSc or MSc in Environmental Science or similar
- 3+ years experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous Experience working with an IED Licence is an advantage.
