Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join a growing infrastructure consultancy in North Dublin. This position focuses on major public sector transportation infrastructure schemes across Ireland and the UK. The role will suit a commercially astute professional with strong estimation and pre/post-contract experience on civils projects. - Lead estimation and cost planning for major civils/infrastructure projects
- Manage and support junior QS team members across project phases
- Act as commercial lead across multidisciplinary projects or portfolios
- Build and develop key client relationships and contribute to business development
- Review contract documentation and advise on risk, value and compliance
- Participate in procurement, tender evaluations and commercial strategy
- Deliver commercial reports, forecasts and stakeholder updates
- Collaborate with project management and engineering leads
- Attend client meetings and represent commercial interests
- Contribute to technical training and internal knowledge development
- Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related
- Minimum 7+ years' experience in a civil/infrastructure consultancy or contractor
- Proven expertise across estimation, pre/post-contract and cost control
- Strong experience with NEC and FIDIC contracts in Ireland/UK context
- Chartered or working towards RICS or equivalent recognised body
- Effective communicator with strong stakeholder and client engagement skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and lead commercial delivery
- Experience working with public sector clients on transportation projects highly desirable
- Irish or UK experience highly advantageous
