- Lead and guide the Business Development Department to achieve strategic objectives.
- Participate in internal management gatherings, providing updates on departmental progress.
- Formulate and execute a Business Development Plan aligned with company goals.
- Generate forecasts to anticipate future business needs.
- Present proposals to prospective clients effectively.
- Analyse tender documents comprehensively, including drawings and specifications.
- Ensure precise preparation of quantity take-offs and measured drawings in collaboration with the Estimating Team.
- Display comprehensive knowledge of product lines throughout the supply chain to recommend optimal solutions.
- Coordinate the acquisition and assessment of supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Address tender inquiries, submit technical documentation, and manage RFIs.
- Create itemized bill of quantities with associated costs.
- Produce tender reports and pricing schedules with accuracy.
- Offer insights into potential value engineering opportunities.
- Attend meetings and site visits as necessary.
- Uphold adherence to tender deadlines.
- Foster relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant business development experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in delivering compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Flexibility to travel across Europe when required.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Deep understanding of electrical sub-systems, encompassing various components.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks for detailed construction model reviews.
- Capability to estimate turnkey installations and initial project needs.
- Meticulous attention to detail for precise cost and quantity estimation.
