Team Leader, Youth Housing, South EastLocation: CorkContract: Full Time, 1 year Fixed TermThe purpose if this role is to work as part of the management team to provide day-to-day leadership, management and supervision of staff employed by Focus Ireland in the Cork Youth Services, alongside holding a small case load of customers.What you will do:Lead the Cork Youth Service in line with Focus Ireland’s values, ethos, policies and procedures, promoting a rights‑based Housing First for Youth approach and the model of Family and Natural Supports.Provide strategic leadership to develop and adapt the service in consultation with stakeholders, funders and partners, ensuring it meets the needs of young people at risk of homelessness.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality service delivery, trauma‑informed practice and high professional and ethical standards.Manage, mentor and support the staff team through effective delegation, supervision, communication and performance management, maintaining a positive, motivated and customer‑focused work environment.Hold overall operational responsibility for the Cork Youth Service, including housing management, maintenance, health and safety, care and case management, assessment, planning and reviews.Oversee service delivery, including referrals, allocations, exits and a small personal caseload, ensuring fair access and compliance with Focus Ireland policies, Equality and Human Rights Duty and best practice standards.Ensure effective interagency and partnership working with statutory and voluntary organisations, representing the service and organisation professionally at all times.Oversee access to housing for young people, including vacancy management, allocation procedures, and pursuing housing opportunities through AHBs, HAP, partnerships and other relevant options.Ensure all administrative, reporting and recording requirements are met, including monthly reports, KPIs, PASS, Orion, Teams case notes, statistics, incident recording and financial oversight.Lead people management functions, including recruitment, induction, rotas, attendance, training, supervision, on‑call arrangements and staff development.Ensure staff receive effective communication, supervision and support, recognising good performance and managing performance issues, concerns or complaints appropriately.Maintain effective teamwork across youth services, providing cover where required, ensuring appropriate handovers, and working collaboratively across the South East region.Participate in training, professional development, internal supervision and service cover arrangements, and undertake any other reasonable duties as required, including participation in an on‑call rota.What you will need:A Third Level qualification at degree level in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology, etc and/or be a CORU registered Social Care WorkerExtensive recent leadership experienceProven extensive experience working in a social care settingExperience of providing staff supervisionExperience of working with young people aged 18-26+Be committed to work in partnership with customersExperience of service planning and development.Full clean drivers licenceFocus Ireland is an equal opportunities employer#FI2
