- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable distributed systems for content management infrastructure
- Design and implement event-driven architectures
- Develop and maintain scalable data processing pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect solutions for content transformation
- Contribute to the deprecation and migration of legacy systems while building next-generation replacements
- Participate in operational excellence initiatives, including on-call rotations and system monitoring
- Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive testing and documentation
The Business Information Governance (BIG) team is a sub-team of the Enterprise Engineering organization. We consist of System Development Engineers (SysDE), Software Development Engineers (SDE), Technical Program Managers (TPM), Product Managers Technical (PM-T) and Software Development Manager (SDM).
The mission of The Business Information Governance team to empower application owners at Amazon to effectively govern their data, enabling the business to gain value from the content we store. This will be done by providing guidance, mechanisms, and tooling to application owners, to ensure consistent and standardized handling of data across applications.Basic Qualifications- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
