Location: Dublin City Centre – HybridSenior Data Analyst wanted for Global Reinsurance Company-Dublin CityAbrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Data Analyst to join our client, a Global Reinsurance Company, based in Dublin City Centre. Our client operates on a global scale and this role will manage data from across the globe.This role will report directly to the Head of Actuarial and collaborate closely with both the actuarial and finance teams.Our client offers this role 2 days a week in the office and it includes pension, bonus, and healthcareYour Role:
- Perform comprehensive data analysis in the reinsurance domain, leveraging advanced analytical techniques.
- Utilise R, Sparklyr, and Tidyverse for data manipulation and exploration, ensuring efficient handling of large-scale datasets.
- Create interactive and insightful visualisations using Tableau and PowerBI, facilitating effective communication of analytical findings to stakeholders.
- Extract, transform, and load data using Spark SQL, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in reinsurance analytics, continuously enhancing expertise and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used in data analysis, including R, Sparklyr, and Tidyverse.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI, demonstrating the ability to create engaging and informative visualisations.
- Strong understanding of database management systems and experience with querying and manipulating large datasets using Spark SQL.
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
