- Meet with clients to understand their needs, develop event proposals, and agree budgets
- Plan, coordinate, and execute weddings and events to the highest standard
- Prepare detailed event documentation and ensure clear communication across departments
- Provide on-the-day event support and proactively resolve any issues
- Conduct pre- and post-event reviews, identifying areas for improvement
- Drive wedding and event sales, achieving agreed targets and KPIs
- Manage client enquiries, follow-ups, and conversions
- Support room revenue management when required, including rate checks and inventory control
- Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and advise senior management accordingly
- Assist in developing promotions and identifying new business opportunities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote wedding and event offerings
- Contribute to social media, website content, and promotional materials
- Support email campaigns and event showcases/open days
- Build relationships with vendors and partners to enhance brand visibility
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity
- Lead and manage the events team, ensuring efficient workload distribution
- Set clear targets and monitor team performance
- Identify training needs and support staff development
- Maintain high standards across event spaces through regular inspections
- Attend management meetings and ensure follow-up on action points
- Support overall hotel operations as required
- Ensure compliance with all legal, health & safety, insurance, and GDPR requirements
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and event documentation
- Manage inventory and ensure adequate supplies for upcoming events
- Proven experience in wedding/events management within hospitality
- Strong sales and revenue-driven mindset
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Experience with event management systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of marketing principles and digital platforms
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
