Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a growing medical device organisation based in Galway to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team on a permanent basis.This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, high-growth company operating in the healthcare technology space, where you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day finance operations as the business continues to expand internationally.The RoleReporting to the Finance team, the Accounts Payable Specialist will take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring invoices, expenses and payments are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.This is a standalone position within the finance team and will suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of the full accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are reviewed, coded and posted accurately within required timelinesPrepare and execute supplier payment runs in line with company proceduresAct as the main point of contact for vendor queries, resolving issues efficiently and maintaining strong working relationshipsManage the AP inbox, ensuring all invoices and requests are handled promptlyProcess employee expense claims in accordance with internal policiesMaintain accurate purchase order records and support ongoing reconciliation activitiesEnsure compliance with internal controls, financial procedures and relevant tax requirementsAssist with month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and reporting supportContribute to process improvements, system enhancements and reporting efficiencies within the finance functionSupport the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as requiredAssist with system implementations and finance projects as the business continues to grow internationallyProvide support across Accounts Receivable when required as the finance function expandsRequirementsPrevious experience in an Accounts Payable, Finance Assistant or similar role within a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principlesExperience working with ERP or accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Odoo or similarExcellent attention to detail with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions accuratelyStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectivelyConfident communicator with the ability to build relationships with internal teams and external suppliersProactive, self-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic, growing organisationExperience with expense management systems (e.g. SAP Concur) would be advantageousExposure to Accounts Receivable or broader finance duties would be beneficialExperience in a start-up, SME, medical device, or life sciences environment would be an advantageWhy Apply?Opportunity to join a growing and innovative organisation in the medical technology sectorVaried and hands-on role with strong exposure across the finance functionSupportive and collaborative team environmentExcellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-growing international businessChance to be part of a company making a meaningful impact in healthcare
