- Project Planning and Management (resources and fees).
- Preparation of design & contract documentation and specifications.
- Designing and reviewing design work of intermediate and junior engineers.
- Design of systems including but not limited to electrical distribution, small power, lighting & emergency lighting, fire detection & alarm, ICT, security and vertical transportation.
- Co-ordination of work with all members of design teams (architect, engineers of all disciplines, QS, etc.).
- Ensuring that all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.
- Estimating, Procurement and Cost Control on projects.
- Compiling project reports.
- Conceptual design studies and reports.
- Mentoring and development of intermediate and junior engineers in the group.
- Liaising with the supply chain and contractors to co-ordinate the successful delivery of the MEP installations.
- Masters or Degree in Electrical Services engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8-years post-qualification experience, most of which will be in design gained within a consultancy environment.
- Experience in design of projects across multiple sectors.
- Chartered Engineer status (or close to achieving status).
- Technically excellent with in-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Experience in leading design teams.
- Experience in using Revit and directing engineers using Revit.
- Proven team player.
- Organised and adaptable, with a flexible approach to work.
- Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Competent in electrical design software.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Highly motivated, pro-active and willing to take on new challenges.
- Demonstrated experience in the design of Building Services Electrical systems
- As a senior MEP grade, a core knowledge of Building Services Mechanical systems.
