- Write a comprehensive Test Strategy/Approach and a Test Plan for the program.
- Experience testing how data is loaded and moved through data pipelines, including checking that the data is structured correctly and loads as expected.
- Able to validate data quality by checking for issues like missing data, duplicates, incorrect values, or broken logic in ETL/ELT processes.
- Comfortable using SQL to look at data, troubleshoot issues, and confirm that transformed data is correct across different layers.
- Responsible for planning the test work-stream including resources, scope and schedule.
- Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
- Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to communicate accomplishments, plans and issues as well as any risks to the project’s progress.
- Organize the status meetings and send the Status Report (Daily, Weekly etc.) to the Client.
- Support the team on project planning-related activities, plan and manage dry runs.
- Demonstrate strong leadership & manage the milestones and deliverables for the test work-stream
- Ensure test adheres to the Software Development LifeCycle, test execution and results recording are as expected.
- Ensure documentation requirements are carried out to a high standard & sign-off is received for the various test phases.
- Responsible for the test workstream RAID process.
- Review the quality, accuracy and consistency of the test deliverables to ensure they meet requirements.
- Empowered and available to make quick decisions in order for the test workstreams to progress at pace
- Validate migrated data sets for completeness, accuracy, and integrity
- Support testing of complex, data driven user interfaces
- Design and execute data migration test scenarios and reconciliations
- Collaborate with vendor and customer teams on defect triage and resolution
- Identify and highlight data migration risks and planning gaps
- Contribute to overall test approach where migration risks extend beyond pure testing
- Strong experience in data heavy system testing, particularly data migration validation
- Experience testing enterprise or COTS platforms hosted in cloud environments
- Solid understanding of test lifecycle, defect management, and test reporting
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and technical documentation
- Comfortable engaging with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Prior experience with KISTERS WISKI (Water Information System) or similar environmental / observability systems
- Experience in projects where data migration risk was a key concern
- Exposure to regulated or public sector environments
- 5 + years Test Management Experience
- Proven experience of Test leadership on a project:-
- Experience in defect management which involves investigating and analysing all issues which arise during the UAT and other Test cycles.
- Experience of managing the development & testing workflow including Defect Tracking, Test Case management and Test Status Reporting.
- Experience in the public sector is an advantage
- ISTQB (or Equivalent) Qualified
- Ability to manage Transitions and handovers in a multivendor environment.
- Some experience developing a CI/CD and/or automation approach is required.
