- Attend pre artwork meetings with clients to evaluate the design concept and ensure it can be translated into a successful flexographic print.
- Specifically, take account of the technical requirements/implications e.g. heat seal, cold seal, lacquers, perforation, anti-mist.
- Produce original design work and amend existing designs for customers, ensuring.
- Build in radius the production specs and works production orders for shop floor
- Negotiate and communicate with the client any modifications that are deemed necessary.
- Provide customer services with a quotation of work required including plate costs before ordering plates.
- Thoroughly brief the reprographic house as to how the design should be constructed, including details of all production requirements and what types of products are necessary.
- Liaise with the client, reprographic house and Sales to ensure a timely delivery of reprographics, proofs and plates.
- Support Sales to ensure clients launch date will be accomplished and ensure any further changes or amendments required are communicated to Sales and the client.
- Attend Press approvals when required.
- Order printing plates and replacement plates as required.
- Liaise with Production over any general design queries and regarding any problems encountered with press for future reference.
- Head discussions with reprographic houses regarding any issues of delivery of pricing.
- Develop and maintain a database of all print projects within the company, catalogued with a unique product code to ensure ensures that accurate information on all designs is readily available.
- Mon - Fri 8am - 4.30pm
- Extensive graphic design experience gained in a customer focused environment with experience of dealing with external customers both face to face and via telephone/email.
- Background in print, lamination and coldseal packing industry - experience of flexographic printing technology and its requirements a distinct advantage
- Existing Mac user with advanced level experience of Adobe DC & Illustrator
- MS Office experience including ability to create and maintain basic Excel spreadsheets
- Good attention to detail
