The Insight and Intelligence Manager, will capture and drive sharp actionable insight and forward thinking to drive growth through the Customer Marketing team in Ireland. This role has two dimensions:

As a key member of the Customer Marketing team in Ireland the individual will be focused on driving Category and Shopper understanding amongst Sales and CM to fuel growth through Customer interventions, ensuring our commercial push is rooted on consumer and shopper journey, market, category and point of purchase insight, for both consumer and trade shopper.

As a key member of the team, the individual will share the ambition to deliver action by consistently unlocking powerful insight that inspires big marketing and innovation ideas and then directs them to brilliant execution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive Insights, implications through to implementation, fuelling it with the right shopper and market insight in order that it can be deployed. Work closely with the Cat Dev team (e.g. Cat-Dev / KA / CP&A / local exec).

Defines and communicates opportunities & challenges for growth to enable the creation and/or execution of outstanding growth drivers as well as driving speedy reaction to potential threats. This will be done by unleashing deep shopper/category and consumer insight in combination with applying learnings from measurement and evaluation with three lenses:

Sales & Performance - Key contact / enabler of local Nielsen entities and Market Planning

Competitor Intelligence – Sourcing from Digimind and local Sales & Executional teams

External Environment – linking to local Secondary sources

Drive the shift to a productivity & data focused team by ensuring Customer Marketing activations are built around market, shopper and competitor insights and based on execution standards, driving effectiveness and efficiency. Champion existing insight tools (M&E/ Market Logic, not doing but training and delivering through others) and identify any gaps / opportunities to improve our Measure and Evaluation culture. Working together with NRM to fill any gaps.

Manage data provider relationships to ensure all data is delivered on time, in full. Management of data provider contracts locally and ensure maximum value is derived from the data. Annual reviews with clear KPIs of performance managed with these agents to ensure strong ROI on the investment.

Develop and Drive (in partnership with Shopper Planning) annual learning plans which build value-added relationships with key customers, along with sales.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Proven track record in Shopper/ Cat Dev roles with a significant focus on Category, Retail, Shopper or Customer. Omnichannel experience would be an ideal.

Deep understanding of market and consumer trends, with the ability to bring the future to today’s world and roadmap actions to make it happen (within a commercial context)

Strong and proven analytical skills, with experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, along with an innovative mindset to find newer and better ways of getting consumer and shopper input.

A great storyteller and confident presenter, able to transform data into compelling and engaging stories to deliver breakthrough across the organisation

An individual who has the ability to influence across senior levels in the Marketing and Commercial Communities and create alignment within cross-functional teams.
