We are currently seeking an Engineering/Design Manager to join our client's Rail team. This exciting opportunity is open to the Dublin, Cork, or Galway office. With a commitment to making the lived environment better and sustainable, their rail portfolio in Ireland is expanding significantly, supported by committed multi-year contracts.Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

Provide overall engineering and technical leadership for rail engineering projects in Ireland.
Serve as a Design or Engineering Manager on projects, managing the multi-disciplinary design process.
Ensure that design meets appropriate guidance, standards, and client requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for all technical matters related to rail in Ireland.
Line management of a team of engineers and discipline leads.
Develop technical/quality proposals for new commissions.
Implement a robust quality management system.
Chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution.
Ensure safety is integrated into the design and delivery process.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in personal and team performance.

Desirable Skills/Attributes:

Degree-level education (level 8/9 engineering degree).
Minimum of 15 years of postgraduate experience, primarily in a consultancy environment.
Experience in delivering projects to BIM Level 2 equivalent.
Awareness of developing technologies and industry best practices.
Effective communication skills (written, verbal & presentations).
Possession of a full driving license.
