Job Description:Java Developer (Mid-Level) - Dublin (Hybrid)If you're a Java Developer in Dublin who enjoys working on real production systems - understanding how they work, fixing issues, and improving them - this role could be a strong fit. This is not a graduate role & we will only consider applications from proper Java Developers who are legal to work in Ireland & have 4+ years of commercial Java experience.We are hiring on behalf of a Dublin-based development team looking to add a Java Developer to their group.This role sits within an established software engineering environment and involves a mix of Java development and Java application support. You'll work on existing services, investigate production issues, and contribute to improving and maintaining core Java applications.It's well suited to a mid-level Java Developer who enjoys debugging complex systems, improving reliability, and working closely with a team supporting live applications.Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based applications and services

Investigate and troubleshoot issues within production Java systems

Support and improve existing services and application components

Work with the engineering team on enhancements and releases

Participate in code reviews and follow established development practices

Contribute to maintaining stable and reliable production systems

RequirementsRequirements

Minimum 4 years proven commercial Java development experience

Strong experience with Java and frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot

Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)

Experience using Git or similar version control systems

Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working with both development and Java application support tasks

Experience working in Agile development environments is beneficial

LocationThis role is based in Dublin and operates on a hybrid working model. Candidates must currently be living in Dublin.EligibilityCandidates must have full legal permission to work in Ireland.
