It operates two cement plants and an extensive network of quarries, asphalt plants and ready-mixed concrete plants, together with slate production, concrete and clay products manufacturing and highway maintenance operations.In a newly created role arising from the Group's continued strong growth, you will have the opportunity to add value by managing and enhancing the current financial analysis, compliance processes and reporting for the Irish Cement division. Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will be a key link between finance and the wider business as well as supporting the existing finance team in delivering our core obligations.Areas of AccountabilityBusiness analysiso Customer and product profitability analysiso Third party haulage analysiso Cost analysis including cost creepo Post completion analysis of large capital projectsReportingo Lead on standardisation of reporting across divisional business unitso Utilise full suite of systems to provide quick and accurate financial informationo Assist Financial Director in Divisional reporting for Managing Director and Group teamo Manage the Capex reporting requirements of the businessInternal Controlo Manage the business's internal control systemso Key point of contact for the Group Internal Audit teamo Work with the finance team and wider business to ensure business is compliant at all timesFinance Team Supporto Assist the finance team with core responsibilities such as Month End, Forecasting, Budgets and statutory Auditso Provide cover to the Financial Accountant role when requiredIntegrated Finance Systemo The Group is undertaking a major overhaul of its Financial systems. This role will be a key stakeholder and point of contact for that projectAd hoc project work and any other duties a required by the businessAbout youThe Senior Financial Accountant will be a Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with minimum 3 years post qualification experience. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong attention to detail, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of information. They should demonstrate effective written communication skills, capable of communicating with stakeholders across various levels and functions within the organization and possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft excel (in particular) as well as Word and PowerPoint. The candidate should exhibit initiative, be able to work independently and meet deadlines while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Finally the candidate should have a inquisitive mind who enjoys finding solutions to problems and who has a key understanding of what adding value means and how to deliver it.Benefits
