Production Shift Manager

- Support the General Manager in managing the day-to-day operations.
- Ensure our product is produced to specification.
- Manage and control packaging, ingredients etc. to ensure sufficient stock is available.
- Budget management and achievement of same and report on any variances (labour, materials
- and efficiency).
- Manage the activities of the production supervisors and liaise with department managers.
- Contribute to recruitment, planning and training of production operators.
- Manage people issues including absenteeism, return to work interviews, performance,
- development etc.
- Develop and maintain safety programs including appropriate training, communication sessions
- and emergency drills.
- Ensuring hygiene and housekeeping standards are at optimum levels.
- Lead projects when required to improve operational performance.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate in a fast-paced, production-focused setting.
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar position in an industry with high volume product.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
