- Support individuals with intellectual disabilities in their day-to-day activities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.
- Act as person in charge in the absence of the service manager.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the people supported, other professionals and the individuals' families.
- Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, social activities, and community integration.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals, ensuring that they have a voice in their care and treatment.
- Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, encouraging personal growth and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and equality for all service users.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, attending meetings, reviews, and training sessions as required.
- Ensure that all services are delivered in line with current legislation, best practice guidelines, and organizational policies.
- A relevant qualification in Social Care, or a related field (Level 7 or above), with CORU registration.
- Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
- A manual, Irish driving license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A person-centered approach with a focus on individual needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
