- Preparation of weekly/monthly variance reports, productivity, key cost controls, financial data to required deadlines.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and monthly consolidated reports, detailed variance analysis and commentary on actual vs budget
- Suggest & implement process improvements and efficiencies; develop analytic tools and techniques to control costs and improve financial reporting; analysing trends.
- Reviewing costings and analyse various cost centres across the business to ensure the most cost-effective processes are in place.
- Providing planning and cost controlling support for all projects
- Management of Inventory Accounting process in terms of accurate valuations, cycle count results and control/system issues
- Fixed asset accounting with responsibility for maintenance and control of all Capital Expenditure items
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Review and analysis of overhead spend and forecasting future expenditure
- Develop and build management dashboards and KPI reports as the business expands and develops
- Assist the R&D/ Quality/ Operations teams in managing staff timesheets and controlling and optimising R&D
- Preparation of payroll, VAT, VIES / Intrastat returns and requirements
- Qualified accountant with 0-2 years PQE - both practice and industry trained will be considered
- Previous Pharma industry experience a distinct advantage.
- Experience in using an ERP/ accounts software package
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to work effectively both as part of a team and individually.
- Competent in IT, MS Office including medium to advanced Excel ability and PowerBI ability with strong analytical capability.
- Ability to work on their own initiative with a focus on process and system improvement.
