  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical contracting, project management, and contract administration.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
As an Electrical Contracts Manager:
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Track project expenses, analyse cost variances, and implement corrective measures, as necessary.
  • Manage change orders, claims, and disputes in a fair and transparent manner.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and motivate a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for training and development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Communicate project progress, milestones, and any potential issues in a clear and timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for additional work or project expansion and collaborate with the sales team to secure new contracts.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
