- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical contracting, project management, and contract administration.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that all contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Track project expenses, analyse cost variances, and implement corrective measures, as necessary.
- Manage change orders, claims, and disputes in a fair and transparent manner.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
- Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance to ensure productivity and quality.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify opportunities for training and development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and addressing their needs and concerns.
- Communicate project progress, milestones, and any potential issues in a clear and timely manner.
- Identify opportunities for additional work or project expansion and collaborate with the sales team to secure new contracts.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
