- Lead, empower, motivate and guide teams in multiple & various new product development projects through the whole lifecycle of the development project including Iterative Design phases, Prototype Manufacturing, Prototype Testing,
- Documentation Creation & Technical Transfer to Serial Production.
- Prepare product development project schedules / roadmaps (Smartsheet) and manage daily activities by task lists (Trello boards) and keep these up to date
- Prepare cost calculations and budgets for various new products and keep these up to date
- Manage changes and change requirements during the product development process. Keep project team members & steering committee updated regarding changes.
- Organize the work of the project team and assign tasks between different team members. Keep project team members accountable for fulfilling the tasks. Help, support & solve problems that hinder project team members to accomplish their
- tasks.
- Arrange and lead various project meetings (Kick-off, Weekly and Daily SCRUM meetings, Steering Committee meetings, Design Review Meetings)
- Arrange and lead prototype building, testing and documentation activities.
- Arrange and lead new product documentation creation process (User Manuals, Certifications, Technical Specifications, Testing Protocols etc.)
- Prepare reports and dashboards for the project steering committee.
- Arrange and manage the technical transfer and new product implementation process to the serial production / manufacturing.
- Proactively solve problems and challenges, both technical and commercial (e.g component delivery issues, design challenges & questions)
- Develop the New Product Development & Change Control processes for custom and standard products.
- Communicate directly with steering committee, company management team and encourage trusting relationships
- University degree (preferably in Engineering) and minimum 5 year’s experience running product development projects in
- international companies / teams in the field of industrial equipment.
- Good understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles & processes
- Good understanding of project management principles & processes including Traditional & Agile methodologies.
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to work in continuously changing environments & handle the changes.
- Ability to lead and coach the project team, communicate common goals and add reasoning.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
- Ability to use 3D CAD tools for viewing technical details
- Excellent communication and people skills, excellent command in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work outside normal office hours due to differing time zones
- Ability for occassional travel mainly in Europe, Asia and US.
