We are currently seeking a science graduate located in Kilkenny for an opportunity in an exciting food company. The lab operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, offering exciting analytical challenges. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player with a positive attitude.Key Responsibilities
- Sample Management: Receive, sort, record, and log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Sample Preparation: Prepare feed, forage, premix, raw materials, and supplements for analysis, catering to various species (equine, ruminant, swine, poultry, canine).
- Analysis & Compliance: Conduct tests according to established procedures and international standards.
- Quality & Audits: Assist with internal audits, quality inspections, and accreditation processes.
- Lab Maintenance: Maintain inventory, support financial control processes, and contribute to health and safety improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Address testing requests, ensure lab organization, and support the Lab Manager when needed.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records, adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and comply with safety regulations.
- Degree in Science or fields of Science such as Agricultural Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or Food Science.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Located in Kilkenny, no relocation option for this role.
- Good organizational skills and a solid understanding of GLP and safety standards.
