- To provide complex orthodontic care for patients who have been determined to be eligible for HSE orthodontic treatment under the Modified IOTN Eligibility Guidelines
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust appliances to ensure optimal treatment results
- Provide preventive and interceptive orthodontic care
- Be registered in the Register of Dentists of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered
- Be registered in the Register of Dental Specialists for Ireland, division of Orthodontics, or be entitled to be so registered
- Have satisfactory knowledge of the administrative aspects of Orthodontic Services
- Possess a high standard of professional knowledge and have had satisfactory experience in Orthodontics
- Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and administrative capacity) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
