QQI Level 7 (or higher) qualification in Social Care/Applied Social Studies or equivalent.
Up to date CORU registration/Confirmation of application for registration submitted to CORU
Experience working within the area of intellectual disability and those who have behaviours of concern.
Proficiency in the English language.

Desirable:

Experience working within the area of intellectual disability.
A full automatic or manual driving licence.
Experience supporting a person with behaviours of concern. To adopt a holistic and person-centred approach to your role to ensure people are supported to live their best lives.
To have knowledge of New Directions.
Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and learning.
