- Full responsibility for day-to-day accounts management.
- Ensure compliance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
- Liaise with the firm's accountant and book-keeper.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate firm accounts.
- Perform all bank and other reconciliations.
- Manage credit control processes.
- Conduct significant data entry with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Conduct regular meetings with fee earners to review WIP and targets.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and cash flow analysis for partners.
- Calculate annual bonuses for fee earners.
- Supervise and support secretarial and administrative staff.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and induction processes.
- Manage staff resourcing and holiday/sick leave records.
- Ensure appropriate office facilities and equipment are in place.
- Liaise with service providers and manage maintenance contracts.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, website content, and case management systems
- Maintain internal communication processes and document security.
- Manage the firm's website and online presence.
- Coordinate social events and external communications.
- Holds an accounting qualification with at least 3 years experience in a dual finance and operations role.
- Experience in a legal practice is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated staff management experience.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with case management systems.
- Discreet, professional, and capable of working on their own initiative.
