Salary: DOE + Excellent BenefitsAn established, large-scale organisation operating in a complex, high-volume environment is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead a specialist revenue accounting and credit control function.This is a key leadership role combining strong technical accounting expertise with hands-on people management. The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end revenue reporting processes, ensure robust financial controls, and lead a high-performing team through ongoing systems and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end and year-end revenue accounting processes, ensuring accurate, complete and timely reporting into management accounts.Prepare, review and present detailed financial analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders.Oversee debtor performance and credit control activities, working closely with customers and internal teams to improve information flows, automation and on-time payment.Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.Lead and support ongoing finance systems enhancements, including project involvement, testing, process design and training.Provide technical accounting expertise to support business change initiatives, system development, standardisation and automation projects.Partner with commercial stakeholders in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.Support commercial management with financial insight, ad-hoc reporting and system guidance.Lead regular team and stakeholder meetings to embed new processes and drive continuous improvement.Manage, mentor and develop a team of 10+ finance professionals, ensuring clear accountability, performance management and development planning.Document end-to-end processes to improve efficiency and minimise reporting risk.Ensure operation within a strong financial controls framework and maintain oversight of control procedures.Consolidate and review data from multiple sources, identifying and escalating issues or variances as required.Participate in cross-functional projects and respond to ad-hoc financial queries.Promote strong corporate governance and control awareness across the function.Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 2-5+ years’ post-qualification experience in revenue accounting and credit control within a high-volume or complex environment.
- Proven experience leading and developing a sizeable, high-performing finance team.
- Strong background in process improvement, systems change, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex information, challenge constructively, and make sound decisions.
- Strong communicator with the ability to simplify complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
