- Direct reporting line to the Managing Director, giving you autonomy and influence at a senior level.
- As Health & Safety Manager, you will develop, lead, and implement a comprehensive Health & Safety function from the ground up.
- You will have full responsibility for ensuring compliance, driving best practice, and promoting a proactive and engaged safety culture across the organisation.
- Key duties include:
- Develop and implement a Group Health & Safety strategy aligned with legislation.
- Carry out risk assessments and develop safe systems of work.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice.
- Monitor and improve site safety, including vehicle movement, pedestrian segregation, and storage practices.
- Maintain and update all H&S documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk registers.
- Liaise with auditors, insurers, regulatory bodies, and external agencies.
- Engage, train, and support staff at all levels to drive awareness and accountability.
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally within logistics, distribution, warehousing, or construction.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification (preferably Level 8).
- Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and H&S reporting systems.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a stand-alone role.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams and senior stakeholders.
