- Support the Management of the sterilisation programme at Cook Ireland.
- Lead and support improvement projects focused on reducing Ethylene Oxide (EO) consumption, Cycle time and Cost improvement in the sterilisation function.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and provide updates and feedback to leadership.
- Schedule, direct and report on product residual testing where required.
- Assess sterilisation standards against the quality management system and implement updates where necessary.
- Join the Cook Global Sterilisation team and part take in projects.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of the sterilisation program and its requirements.
- Develop/Review product assessments for adoptions to the available EO Sterilisation cycles.
- Work with Stakeholders to investigate process related non-conformances.
- Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.
- Third level degree in Microbiology, Science or Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to interpret data, discuss findings and resolve complex analytical problems.
- Possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- ETO Sterilisation experience is essential for this role.
- A strong knowledge of microbiology is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical device quality standards/practises or similar regulated industry such as EN ISO 11135 and 11737.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal and good inter-personal skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
- High self-motivation and proven team member skills.
- Availability to travel on company business.
- Beneficial if candidate has previous experience with Oracle Agile document control systems.
