- Requisitioning, preparing, cooking, portioning, and packing of food
- Food rotation, labelling, chilling, and storage in line with HACCP
- Regeneration and service of meals
- Accurate record keeping and stock control
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas
- Comply with all safety and hygiene procedures including cook-chill and HACCP
- Report any mechanical defects or stock issues
- Support and advise staff on food portioning and presentation
- Check meals across service points for quality and consistency
- Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure compliance with MUH and HSE standards
- Assist with special functions as required
- Minimum Level 6 qualification in Professional Cookery (QQI or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
- Ability to manage a busy kitchen and work independently or as part of a team
