We support customers across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering tailored engineering services that drive long-term success.NeoDyne is seeking an experienced AVEVA PI Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the Dublin based site.The successful candidate will work as part of the Automation/Digital Manufacturing team, contributing to ongoing operations, system improvements, and project-based enhancements to the AVEVA PI system.Key Responsibilities
  • Support the configuration, maintenance and day-to-day operation of the AVEVA PI System (Data Archive, AF, Vision).
  • Assist with PI tag creation, configuration and data quality checks.
  • Develop and maintain PI AF structures and templates aligned to plant equipment and process areas.
  • Configure and support PI Vision dashboards for engineering, operations and quality teams.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of Event Frames for batch, campaign and operational event tracking.
  • Support integration of PI with site automation systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA).
  • Participate in troubleshooting data flow issues, interface errors and performance concerns.
  • Contribute to GMP documentation including configuration records, change control and validation support (IQ/OQ).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Automation, Operations, Quality and IT
Required Experience & Skills
  • Degree in Automation, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System (PI Data Archive, AF, PI Vision).
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (pharma/biopharma preferred).
  • Understanding of industrial automation systems (e.g. DCS, PLC, SCADA).
  • Familiarity with data integrity principles and change management in regulated environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Desired / Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting PI within a large-scale biopharmaceutical facility.
  • Exposure to DeltaV or similar DCS platforms.
  • Experience configuring PI Interfaces and Connectors.
  • SQL knowledge for reporting or data analysis.
  • Experience supporting new equipment or line expansions.
  • Awareness of OT network architecture and cybersecurity practices.
