Mechanical Estimator
Co Clare, permanentAs an Estimator and Project Coordinator, you will play a critical role in the tendering process and project management lifecycle.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Tendering for a variety of mechanical projects, from initiation to completion.
  • Processing tenders from start to finish, including conducting take-offs from tender drawings, scheduling, preparing bill of quantities, etc.
  • Generating accurate and competitive quotes in compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborating with suppliers to obtain quotations and procure necessary materials.
  • Compiling and preparing technical submissions for approval.
  • Regularly liaising with site teams and management to ensure project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Cultivating and maintaining positive relationships with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Assisting with the organization of the Maintenance Team and undertaking light office administrative duties as required.
  • Must hold a valid driving license, Safe Pass, and Manual Handling certification.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, junior estimator.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical proficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driving license, Safe Pass, and Manual Handling certification are mandatory.
